I took an unexpected trip to Austin over the weekend. And I write “unexpected” because I didn’t know I was going until Saul called me at midnight on Friday to tell me that he had a flat on the way to Austin and needed me to give him a ride the rest of the way. This was his weekend of drills with his unit (stationed in Austin) and he absolutely had to be there by 7 a.m.
If I had had time to pack, sleep or make plans, I might have actually gotten some sightseeing done. Instead, what I did was drive him to and from the base. I got his tire fixed. I met his commanding officers and fellow grunts.
Anyway, at least the scenery was pretty.
This space was created for friends and family. I’ve just started a new space for career networking and other web 2.0 experiments. I’m not hiding, just trying to keep things a bit separate.
In today’s Houston Chronicle story Texas AG: Children need to be protected from Net predators, my one paragraph claim to fame:

I’m trying to remember, old person that I feel today, when I became “spokeswoman” and am drawing a blank. Is memory the first thing to go?
Chica Chic went to Chloe Dao‘s fashion show. Obviously, other people are having a lot more fun than I am.
For those of you who haven’t heard, it’s official: Jessica is having a boy. At least her doctor is 99% certain that it’s going to be a boy. And, trust me, if you’d seen the scans, you would be too.
Congratulate us!
